A silver medalist at SGP3, VILLADS NAGEL is set to make his Danish league debut this season
Villads Nagel, the runner-up in this year’s SGP3, has signed a two-year deal with Slangerup of the Danish Speedwayligaen beginning in 2023.
In the newly rebuilt FIM Speedway Youth World Championship for the best riders under the age of 16, Nagel finished in second place in the SGP3 event in Wroclaw last August.
While his countryman Mikkel Andersen earned first place, Nagel proved his mettle by winning the semi-final and coming in second place in the final.
It is possible that the 15-year-old may make his professional debut in Denmark’s top division, where he will go up against some of the best riders in the world, including current and past Speedway GP competitors.

From what we’ve seen of Villads, he’s a really exciting talent, and we’d want to be a part of his further growth,” said Slangerup’s management.
“Villads is still young and has a lot of room for improvement, but he has a solid grasp of speedway and sits really well on the bike. We want to follow in his footsteps and provide whatever assistance we can.
Kenneth Bjerre, a former rider for the Speedway GP, has renewed his contract with Speedwayligaen team Grinsted.
